  The BioLineRx Board of Directors plays an active role at both the corporate and drug development level in helping build the BioLineRx pipeline. With vast experience in all aspects of the Life-Sciences industry, from company building to drug marketing, the members of the BioLineRx Board augment and strengthen the BioLineRx fulltime team with their guidance, support and hands-on approach.


AHARON SCHWARTZ, PhD - CHAIRMAN
Dr. Schwartz brings to BioLineRx his vast experience in the ethical and generic pharmaceutical industry. He joined Teva Pharmaceuticals in 1975, and has since held various positions including VP Head of the commercial division, VP Head of Teva-Israel and VP Business Development, and is currently Vice President, Strategic Business Planning and New Ventures. While acting as VP Global Products, Dr. Schwartz was responsible for bringing Teva's first ethical drug to market through strategic cooperation with major international pharmaceutical companies. Dr. Schwartz also served as Chairman of Denx and Immudar and is a non-executive board member of Peptor. Dr. Schwartz received his PhD in organic chemistry from the Weizmann Institute, his MSc from the Technion Institute of Technology in Haifa and a BSc in chemistry and physics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.


GIL BIANCO

Mr. Bianco served as the CEO of Agis Industries Ltd. from 2001 to 2003. Throughout his employment with Agis, Mr. Bianco actively participated in transforming Agis into an internationally known pharmaceutical company with revenues of more than $350 million. In 1992, as Agis' CFO, Mr. Bianco helped lead the IPO of the company on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange. He currently serves as a Director at BioCancell Therapeutics Inc., Topspin Medical Inc., Fischer Pharmaceutical-Labs, Novel Therapeutic Technologies Ltd., HealOr Ltd., Sol-Gel Technologies Ltd. and the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange since 2003. Mr. Bianco received his B.A. in Economics and Accounting from Tel-Aviv University.


YAKOV FRIEDMAN
Yakov Friedman has served as an investment analyst and fixed income and credit derivatives trader for the Friedberg Mercantile Group Ltd. in Toronto, Canada since 2001. In addition, he has screened, conducted due diligence, negotiated and represented various affiliates of FMGL in private transactions. Mr. Friedman holds an MBA, a BAS and an LLB from York University.


RAFI HOFSTEIN, PhD
Dr. Hofstein brings to BioLineRx extensive experience in life-sciences development and management. As President and CEO of Hadasit Ltd., the Technology Transfer Company of Hadassah Medical Organization, he is responsible for management and strategic planning of daughter companies and the commercialization of intellectual property. Prior to his current position, Dr. Hofstein served as the President of Mindsense Biosystems Ltd. where he was responsible for the business development and overall company communications with the investment community as well as budget planning. He also served as Business Unit Director of Ecogen Inc. in Langhorne PA after serving as the Scientific Director of its Israel office. Dr. Hofstein received his PhD and MSc in life-sciences and chemistry from the Weizmann Institute of Science, and his BSc in chemistry and physics from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Dr. Hofstein completed postdoctoral training at the Harvard Medical School in both the departments of biological chemistry and neurobiology.


MORRIS C. LASTER, MD

Dr. Laster served as BioLineRx's CEO since 2003. He is a healthcare entrepreneur with over 14 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. He previously founded four publicly traded companies including Keryx (simultaneous listing on NASDAQ: KERX; and AIM: KRX)), XTL (LSE: XTL) and Neose Technologies (NASDAQ: NTEC). During his time at Keryx, Dr. Laster was instrumental in changing FDA policy by securing a Subpart H accelerated approval strategy for diabetic nephropathy. Dr. Laster received his MD from Downstate Medical Center in New York and performed post graduate work in surgery at Case Western Reserve University Hospital in Ohio.


ILAN LEVITEH
Mr. Leviteh was the president and CEO of Makhetshim-Agan Industries, a world leader in the generic agro-chemical industry with $1.5 billion in revenues and a $2.5 billion market cap on the Tel-Aviv stock exchange, for more than 15 years [1988 – 2003]. He has been the chairman of the board of the Lycored group, Galam industries and Enzymotec since 1995. Galam is a leading manufacturer of fructose and starch and a major shareholder of Enzymotec. Mr. Leviteh is also the Chairman of BGN Technologies, the technology transfer company of Ben-Gurion University , and a director at Nasvax Ltd.
